METHOD FOR DETERMINING THE BRINELL HARDNESS NUMBER OF CARBON STEEL

摘要

The proposed method for determining the Brinell hardness number of carbon steel consists in measuring the velocity of sound vibrations in the steel sample and determining the hardness number by the characteristic defining the dependence of hardness on velocity of sound vibrations that is specified for the certain steel grade.
