METHOD FOR SURGICAL TREATMENT OF SPLENIC LESIONS AT THE SITE OF HILUS

A method for surgical treatment of splenic lesions comprises segmental resection of spleen with hemostatic procedures. The vascular peduncle is clamped by hemostatic forceps at the site of a splenic hilum, dissected, and ligated. Damaged fragment of the spleen is resected sparing a fragment alongside the attachment of gastrolienal ligament. Edges of a wound are approached, and blanket suture is applied.
