METHOD FOR COMPLEX TREATMENT OF METASTATIC LESIONS OF LONG CORTICAL BONES

A method for complex treatment of metastatic lesions of long cortical bones provides tumor surgical resection followed by bone fixation with metallic plates, screws or intramedullar pins followed by filling of postoperative bone defects with osseous cement. Postoperatively, after the final wound healing, a course of radiotherapy is carried out with 10 fractions, 3 Gy each daily, the total focal dose being of 30 Gy.
