A method for preventing water erosion of soils on kettle-hole basins includes constructing parallel flow-regulating hydraulic works as mounds along the horizontals of the slope, grassing the non-cultivated surfaces thereof with perennial grasses and stage-by-stage forming these hydraulic works in the course of time up to the projected height. While grassing the surfaces of each of the mounds, the sown seed of the perennial grasses is covered with a scarcely woven fabric or a highly cross-linked one and covered with a soil layer, sufficient for seed germination, from above.
