METHOD FOR PREDICTING AND CHECKING THE EFFICIENCY OF PREPARATIONS IN THE TREATMENT OF PATIENTS WITH FUNCTIONAL DISEASES OF THE DIGESTIVE TRACT

The proposed method for predicting and checking the efficiency of preparations in the treatment of patients with functional diseases of the digestive tract consists in determining, before the treatment, the content of 6-sulfatoxymelatonin in the patient's morning urine and the content of leptine in the blood serum. If the content of sulfatoxymelatonin decreases and the content of leptine increases at least by two times, preparations containing melatonin are prescribed for the treatment. After a month from the beginning of the treatment, the indicators of disorders in the digestive tract are determined that are characterized by the alexitimia level and the total indicator of gastrointestinal disorders. The treatment is considered as effective if the content of sulfatoxymelatonin increases and the content of leptine decreases. The efficiency of the treatment is confirmed by the decrease of the alexitimia level at least by 10 % and the decrease of the total indicator of gastrointestinal disorders at least by 60 %.
