METHOD FOR THE SAFE OPERATION OF A NUCLEAR REACTOR WITHIN THE SERVICE LIFE OF THE REACTOR

According to the existing method for operating nuclear reactors, to estimate the safety level of a reactor, the efficient part of delayed neutrons is used that is considered as an unchangeable part during the operation of the reactor but actually changes in the process of the operation of the reactor comparative to the value of this indicator at the commissioning of the reactor. The proposed method ensures the safe operation of a reactor within the service life of the active zone of the reactor due to that, when accomplishing operations in connection with reducing the positive reactivity of the reactor, the average efficient part of delayed neutrons is used to estimate the safety level of the reactor.
