The method for treating the primary open-angle and angle-closure noncompensated glaucoma consists in weakening the supporting properties of sclera. With this aim in view, in four oblique quadrants in the projection of the ciliary body, the surface layer of sclera to 4/5 of its thickness is removed starting 2 mm from the limbus as the rectangle with the sides of 3-5 and 5-7 mm, the longer side being perpendicular to limbus.
