The invention relates to medicine, in particular to pediatrics, gastroenterology, and concerns a method for the diagnosis of the chronic diffuse lesions of the liver. Glisson's capsule indurations and contours tortuosity, presence of regeneration nodes of 2-5 mm under the capsule and in parenchyma are examined by ultrasonic. The texture of liver tissue is analysed by calculation of the number of echopositive formations in the form of dots, triangles or tubular structures.
