Map making and navigation method for multiple camera platform by obtaining and analyzing camera images to find solutions for structure and motion to obtain position on predetermined map of surrounding area
The method involves obtaining images from at least two cameras (102) located on a multi camera platform (101) such as an autonomous guided vehicle. Images are analyzed by finding correspondence between features detected in surrounding area and previously detected features. Solutions are found for structure and motion to obtain position of camera platform on predetermined map of surrounding area. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a system for guiding a multi camera platform, (2) a device for guiding a multi camera platform.
