The container is of sheet metal and comprises a shell (1) of a single layer of the sheet material, a joint (16) extending from the top of the shell to its base, which shell (1) constitutes a side wall (2) of the container. The container comprises also a rim at the top of the container and a mounted base (9) of sheet metal.
