The cover has alternate short and long transverse bars (2, 3) arranged at both sides of a central longitudinal bar (8). The transverse bars are arranged right angle to the longitudinal bar and arranged to one another with recesses (9, 10) of same width. Support plates (6) for the transverse bars are arranged at oppositely lying sides of a floor drain tub. The recesses are arranged in same height at the sides of the longitudinal bar.
