Slip bearing for truck engine crankshaft comprises silver, copper and bismuth, and is lead-free

A slip bearing for e.g. a truck engine crankshaft is formed from an alloy based on silver or copper and bismuth, together with unavoidable impurities. The alloy contains at least 2 wt.% silver and 0.5 wt.% copper, and no more than 49 wt.% Ag or Cu. The alloy contains preferably no less than 10 and 30 wt.% both metals. The alloy contains hard particles of grain size 10 nm to 100 nm.
