The laser has a monolithic laser resonator (1) including a laser medium, on which a passive Q-Switch and a resonator mirror are directly formed. A set of laser diodes (22) acting as a pump medium radiate into the resonator from a side. The monolithic resonator is held at an end in a holding plate (31) and held at another end in another holding plate (32), and a carrier ring (21) which carries the laser diodes is mounted between the holding plates. The laser diodes are passively wavelength stabilized by an external reflection element i.e. holographic grid.
