Procedure for the manufacture of two separable sections of the axis of the steering column of a car and separable sections obtained with said procedure. Said sections are aligned and their ends include coupling blocks that have a flat surface. The method comprises applying to each section at the respective end a blow that deforms them until forming the coupling blocks and bending said blocks so that the axis perpendicular to the common plane of the flat surfaces forms an angle, for example of 45 °, with the longitudinal axis of the sections so that, in the mounting position, both sections are aligned. The bending operation can be performed after cooling the end of the section next to it. The end of each section can be machined before bending to configure a flat support surface. The flat surfaces have holes for the passage of fastening means.
