Procedure for the synthesis of L-histidinol dihydrochloride by electrochemical route. Procedure for obtaining L-histidinol (II) dihydrochloride from L-histidine methyl ester (I) dihydrochloride, by reducing the carbonyl group of the ester to the corresponding alcohol. The reduction is carried out in an electrochemical reactor in which solvated electrons are electrogenerated, which are the reducing agents responsible for the reduction of the ester group.
