Method for the recovery of particles comprising non-ferrous metals from a stream of particles, resulting in a fraction enriched with non-ferrous metals and a depleted fraction of non-ferrous metals, characterized in that the method comprises the following steps: a) set the current of particles on a conveyor belt in the form of a monolayer such that, with the aid of a liquid, at least, the particles comprising non-ferrous metals adhere to the conveyor be b) subjecting the wet monolayer located on the conveyor belt to a magnetic field that rotates in the same direction as the belt, for the separation of the particles comprising a non-ferrous metal, resulting in an enriched fraction of non-ferrous metals; and c) removing the particles that adhere to the conveyor belt, resulting in a depleted fraction of non-ferrous metals, in which at least a part of these particles remain adhered to the underside of the conveyor belt and are removed from the same.
