Compound of formula (II) and salts thereof, (See formula) in which R 1 is selected from the group consisting of: hydrogen, a linear or branched alkyl chain of between 1 and about 10 carbon atoms; a linear or branched alkenyl chain of between 2 and about 10 carbon atoms, the olefinic unsaturation being found in the alkenyl group at a distance of at least one 1-nitrogen carbon atom; hydroxyalkyl of between one and about six carbon atoms; acyloxyalkyl in which the acyloxy fraction is alkanoyloxy of between 2 and about 4 carbon atoms or benzoyloxy and the alkyl fraction comprises between one and about six carbon atoms; benzyl; (phenyl) ethyl and phenyl; R2 is independently selected from the group consisting of: hydrogen; straight or branched chain alkyl comprising between one and about eight carbon atoms; benzyl; (phenyl) ethyl and phenyl; R is independently selected from the group consisting of: alkoxy of between 1 and about 4 carbon atoms; alkyl of between one and about four carbon atoms and halogen; and n is an integer between 0 and 2, with the proviso that if n is 2, then said groups together comprise no more than 6 carbon atoms.
