The object of the present invention is to provide an identity verifyingdevice, identifying method and the like that by utilizing a barcode enableverification by a system totally different from conventional ones. The presentinvention provides an identification barcode assigning method for assigningan identification barcode to a party desiring identity verification. Thisassigning method comprises a step of receiving from the party a barcoderequest signal including a sender number of the party and a step of generatinga barcode for the party. A step of transmitting the generated barcode to theparty is preferably further provided. The present invention in this manneralso provides an assigning device for assigning barcodes, and an identityverifying method and identity verifying device utilizing such barcodes.
