WINDSHIELD WIPER SYSTEM ACTIVATED BY SENSING RAINWATER

A windshield wiper system activated by sensing rainwater adapted to detectrainwater via a rain sensor placed inside a wiping pattern of a windshieldglass while amultifunction switch lever is in automatic mode, the system comprising a rainsensormodule for activating a relay for low speeds and/or a relay for high speedsdepending onthe detected amount of rainwater. There is further provided a first voltagedetectingmeans for detecting a battery voltage, a second voltage detecting means fordetecting avoltage of an automatic signal, and a microcomputer for adjusting thesensitivity of therain sensor on the basis of a voltage ratio of the automatic signal voltageand the batteryvoltage. The present invention has a reformed wiring structure that connectsthemultifunction switch and the rain sensor module, which contributes to areduction of theweight of a wiring harness, as well as the manufacturing cost. The sensitivityof therain sensor is not affected by a voltage change, which may occur from variousfactorsinside the vehicle.
