An issue-centric information management system for facilitating and increasingtheefficiency of a communications department by providing a comprehensive androbustmethodology to track all activity that relates to a corporate communicationsissues, publicaffairs issues, investor relations issues, or other sets of issues affecting agroup ofcooperating individuals. To support the methodology, the system can include asoftwareimplementation that supports and assists the system by providing a method ofstorage andretrieval of pertinent data, as well as to facilitate interaction between thevarious individualsimplementing the communications strategy. The software implementing the systemcanfacilitate tracking all "transactions" that occur related to any givencorporate issue. Thecentralizing of all data and events relating to a communications issue allowsthe completepicture of all strategy regarding the issue to be seen with the effects of theactions taken.This allows a complete view of all facets of the problem and permits powerfulanalysis andaccurate decision-making.
