Iterative Concatenated Code Decoding Circuit and Encoding/ Decoding System Using the Same

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a repeating concatenation encoder/decoder circuit in which a circuit scale can be reduced and encoding characteristics can be improved.;SOLUTION: A first stage inner decoder 1-1 decodes encoded data received from a transmission line, outputs the decoded data to a first stage de-interleaver and outputs a first inner code syndrome coefficient corresponding to the decoded data to a second stage inner decoder 1-2. A first stage de-interleaver 2-1 interleaves the decoded data and outputs the de-interleaved data to a first stage outer decoder 3-1. The first stage outer decoder 3-1 decodes the de-interleaved data, outputs the decoded data to a first stage interleaver 4-1, derives a first stage inner code correction syndrome coefficient and outputs it to a second stage inner decoder 1-2. The first stage interleaver 4-1 interleaves the decoded data and outputs the interleaved data to the second stage inner decoder 1-2.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
