The invention relates to a designing device for creating the layout of an apparatus that is provided with electrical components. Said designing device comprises a component library in which data for a multitude of different and heterovalent components is stored, said data describing the dynamic electromagnetic behavior of said components. The inventive designing device further comprises a computing unit which retrieves data associated with components that are selected for creating the layout from the component library and processes said data.
