The invention relates to a method for the automatic login of a subscriber station (T1, T2, T3) arranged especially in a motor vehicle (A) in an external information system (P), whereby for a non-automatic login of a subscriber recognition (U1, U2, U3), a password belonging thereto (P1, P2,P3) and a station identification (VIN1, VIN2, VIN3) are transmitted to the external information system (P), said method involving the following steps: activating the automatic login for the subscriber recognition (U1, U2, U3) by transmitting a corresponding request from the subscriber station (T1, T2, T3) to the external information system (P); preparing a secret code (VIN1-RN, VIN2-RN, VIN3-RN) for the subscriber station (U1, U2, U3) in the external information system (P) and a concealed transmission of the secret code (VIN1-RN, VIN2-RN, VIN3-RN) to the subscriber station (T1, T2, T3); concealed storage of the secret code (VIN1-RN, VIN2-RN, VIN3-RN) in the subscriber station (T1, T2, T3); and carrying out an automatic login of the subscriber station (T1, T2, T3) in the external information system (P) by transmitting the subscriber recognition (U1, U2, U3) without the password (P1, P2, P3), the station identification (VIN1, VIN2, VIN3) and concealed transmission of the code (VIN1-RN, VIN2-RN, VIN3-RN) to the external information system (P).
