The invention relates to a pump arrangement for feeding a liquid product having a pump (2) with a suction connection and a pressure connection and with a double-acting sliding ring sealing arrangement with a sealing fluid water seal for sealing off a pump driveshaft (3), wherein a sealing fluid space of the sliding ring sealing arrangement has an inlet via which some of the product fed by the pump can be introduced into the sealing fluid space in order to form the sealing fluid water seal. Here, the fed product is guided from the pressure connection of the pump (2) via a direct connection (5, 8) to the inlet of the sealing fluid space. The sealing fluid space has no outlet for the fed product. According to one preferred application of the invention, the sealing fluid water seal can be formed from the extracted part of an aqueous pulp solution in the paper industry after said aqueous pulp solution has been filtered, so that the sealing fluid space can be filled only with the water component of the pulp solution.
