The present invention relates to the enzyme lntegron integrase, and more particularly to the crystal structure of a complex of integron integrase from Vibrio cholerae (VchlntlA) bound to a recombination substrate (VCRSUBbs/SUB). The invention further relates to this crystalline structure and its use in the field of DNA recombination and in the design and production of antibiotics and gene manufacture tools.
