The contactless rinsing device for a WC system comprises at least one trigger sensor (B) which cooperates with the actuation of a rinsing device (2) and which emits a signal in order to trigger rinsing after the WC system (1) has been used. A monitoring sensor (A) is also provided in order to detect a person (10) approaching said WC system (1). Preferably, the trigger sensor (B) is switched on by the monitoring sensor (A) when a person (10) approaches said WC system (1). The inventive rinsing device enables rinsing to be triggered automatically and can be operated by a battery.
