Process of making hot rolled strip for manufacturing non oriented electrical steel strip and non-oriented electrical steel sheet

Hot strip is made from a steel containing (in wt.%) at most 0.010 C, 1.0-1.5 Si, 0.4 Al (Si + 2Al at most 1.85), at most 0.5 Mn, 0.05 Cu, 0.01 Ti, 0.1 P, 0.15 Sn, 0.15 Sb, at most 0.02 S + O + N, and a balance of Fe. An Independent claim is also included for a process for the production of a hot strip comprising melting the above steel, casting into thin slabs, heat treating at 1040-1160 degrees C, hot rolling and coiling.
