PROCESS AND APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING HYDROUS HEATING COMPOSITION

A process and apparatus for producing a heating composition in which ingredients are continuously distributed to small sections and continuously mixed and conveyed. Thus, a heating composition having a stable makeup and containing water in an amount which enables heat generation or water in an amount larger than that is produced in a made-to-order manner at a point of time when the production is necessary. The process is for producing a hydrous heating composition from raw materials which comprise an iron powder, a carbon ingredient, a reaction accelerator, and water as essential ingredients. The process is characterized by successively conducting the following steps in a cylindrical structure disposed horizontally: a step in which raw powdery materials are metered and fed to the cylindrical structure, a step in which the raw powdery materials are conveyed with mixing, a step in which a raw liquid material is metered and fed thereto, and a step in which the powders and the liquid are conveyed with mixing.
