[PROBLEMS] To provide an identifier change notifying method for allowing an identifier change notifying system to notify an appropriate receiver of a new identifier even if the person who has changed his or her identifier does not previously specify the identifier of the receiver to be notified of the new identifier of the person when the identifier change notifying system notifies the receiver of the change of the identifier such as a telephone number or a mail address. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] Permission/rejection of notification is determined according to the history of communication between the caller number and the old number when the old number is called. The identifier change notifying method comprises a call arrival reception step (S102) of receiving a request for connection to a specific call destination number (234) and acquiring the caller number (232) and the call destination number (234), a history information acquiring step (S106) of acquiring history information (236) about the call destination number (234) and the caller number (232) from the call/call arrival history (108), a notification permission/rejection determining step (S110) of analyzing the acquired history information (236) according to a preset notification permission/rejection determination rule (208) and of determining whether or not it notifies the caller of the new telephone number (206), and a notification information transmitting step (S114) of transmitting notification information.
