A method and system for charging WAP service, the method comprises: the SGSN of the roaming place receives the request of the roaming subscriber accessing WAP service, and transmits the said accessing request to the home GGSN of the subscriber; the home GGSN allocates IP address to the subscriber and transmits the said accessing request to the home WAP gateway of the subscriber, the WAP server returns the WAP service content on the basis of the request of the said WAP gateway browsing WAP service and reports the charging request to the mobile data-service platform; the mobile data-service platform queries the fee-roaming according to the said charging reported and computes the subscriber's fee. The corresponding system for charging WAP service is provided. The invention solves the problem of charging the WAP roaming service and conveniences the roaming subscriber accessing WAP service.
