Power steering drive (1) for a steering system in a motor vehicle, having a motor (2) which drives a motor shaft (7) and having a mechanism (3) which is arranged between the motor shaft (7) and an output shaft (4). The mechanism (3) is configured as a combined worm/belt mechanism. Furthermore, a method for adjusting the mechanism (3) of a power steering drive, wherein the adjustment takes place solely by adjusting the intermediate shaft (11) relative to the motor shaft (7) and/or the output shaft (4).
