It is intended to provide a probe for topically treating the living body and an apparatus for topically treating the living body by which a target site to be treated in the living body can be safely and surely treated. A probe (1) for topically treating the living body which is a probe (10) having a constitution allowing the enclosure of a fluid therein provided with a probe (10) having a constitution allowing the transportation of the above-described fluid based on the capillary phenomenon, a temperature-controlling device (20) for controlling the temperature of the above-described fluid, and a detection device (30) for detecting the physical data of the target site to be treated based on the control of the temperature of the above-described fluid.
