Standardized bumper testing includes a barrier (21) adapted for testing vehicle bumper impact strength and engagement. The present improvement includes first and/or second thermoformed components (22, 32) attached to the barrier (21) to replicate a profile and crush characteristics of a 'generic' vehicle bumper. The first face component (22) is an energy absorbing component (22) with crush boxes (31A-31D) for impact absorption and replicates an energy absorber. The second component (23) covers the first component and replicates a fascia.
