An anchor for installing a silt barrier and a method for installing a silt barrier using the anchor are provided to easily drive at least one of a plurality of arms into the bottom of the sea by forming the arms at the same angle. An anchor for installing a silt barrier includes a sank(310), a plurality of arms(320), and a nib(330). An end of a wire for connecting the sank to a silt barrier is connected to one end of the sank. The arms extend radially from the other end of the sank so as to form an acute angle with respect to the sank. The arms are driven into the bottom of the sea when the wire is pulled to be connected to the silt barrier. The nib extends from the center of the arm so as to form a straight line with the sank and is driven into the bottom of the sea before the wire is pulled.
