METHOD FOR DETERMINING MATERIAL PARAMETERS OF AN OBJECT FROM TEMPERATURE-VERSUS-TIME (T - T) DATA

A method for determining material parameters of an object from temperature-versus-time (T-t) data, where t is the time that has elapsed since the flash heating and T is the temperature of the object's surface relative to a temperature before the excitation at the time t, in which the temperature-versus-time data is measured by thermography is provided which comprises the steps of: - establishing ln(T)-versus-ln(t) data from the T-t data; - analyzing the ln(T)-versus-ln(t) data; and - determining at least two material parameters based on the result of the analysis.
