Provided is a protection member for trees lining a street and blocks of a footpath, which guides the direction of roots of trees toward the ground surface, allows the roots to be fixed stably, prevents walkers from falling over a protection member, and helps to form a beautiful city environment. The protection member for trees lining a street and blocks of a footpath comprises: a root direction guiding pipe(100), which has at least two arc-like pipes forming the shape of a pipe, is tapered to have a larger diameter toward the bottom, includes an extension piece(110) at a lateral end thereof and a coupling hole through which both extension pieces are coupled to each other, and further includes a pipe extension member at the coupling hole; and a root fixing guiding pipe(200), which has at least two curved pipes forming a central hall, is tapered to have a larger diameter toward the bottom, has a plurality of through holes(230) and a coupling jaw(210), and further includes a coupling hole(220) through which adjacent jaws are coupled to each other.
