A method of estimating safety of a beam structure based on an averaged strain using long gauge optic sensors is provided to remarkably reduce data and calculation amount, and measurement time. A method of estimating safety of a beam structure based on an averaged strain using long gauge optic sensors includes a displacement measurement device(1), an information input device(2), an information analysis device(3), and a safety estimation information providing device(4). The displacement measurement device measures a displacement of a structure. The information input device inputs displacement information obtained from the displacement measurement device. The information analysis device analyzes the information. The safety estimation information providing device provides the results of the safety estimation. Light passed through a sensor installed at the structure is compared with light passed through a reference optical fiber to measure the entire displacement of the sensor.
