A method for controlling a security function of a mobile communication terminal within a security area is provided to enable the mobile communication terminals to set the security function by themselves by enabling repeaters to transmit security function setting signals to the mobile communication terminals when the mobile communication terminals enter within the security area, thereby minimizing inconvenience of mobile communication terminal owners and maximizing security effects. A method for controlling a security function of a mobile communication terminal comprises the following steps of: enabling repeaters to check whether the mobile communication terminals enter within the security area(211); enabling the repeaters to transmit security function setting signals to the mobile communication terminals if so(221); and enabling the mobile communication terminals to set the security function by themselves when receiving the security function setting signals from the repeaters(231).
