Provided are a polyazomethine-based photosensitive conjugated polymer compound which is excellent in the solubility in an organic solvent and can be applied to photolithography, its preparation method, and an organic electroluminescent device containing the compound. The polyazomethine-based photosensitive conjugated polymer compound is represented by the formula I, wherein R1 and R2 are independently a C1-C20 aliphatic hydrocarbon group. The method comprises the steps of reacting phenothiazine and an alkyl halide to prepare an alkyl phenothiazine; reacting the alkyl phenothiazine with phosphoryl chloride and dimethylformamide to prepare an alkyl diformyl phenothiazine; reacting the alkyl diformyl phenothiazine with an aromatic diamine represented by H2N-Ar-NH2 to prepare a polyazomethine-based polymer compound; reacting hydroxybenzaldehyde and picoline to prepare a compound represented by the formula X; reacting the compound of the formula X with a compound containing an alkali metal selected from Li, Na, K and Lu; reacting the obtained one with a compound represented by HOR2M (wherein R2 is a C1-C20 aliphatic hydrocarbon group; and M is an alkali metal selected from Li, Na, K and Lu); and reacting the obtained one with the polyazomethine-based polymer compound.
