EGPRS POWER AMPLIFIER AND THEREOF METHOD FOR AMPLIFYING POWER

A power amplifier for an EGPRS(Enhanced General Packet Radio System) and a method for amplifying power of the same are provided to reduce a phase distortion by minimizing a drain junction capacitance in the EGPRS power amplifier. A power amplifier for an EGPRS includes a drain, an attenuator, and a gate. The drain controls power by receiving a large signal of a ramping signal. The attenuator receives a small signal of a wireless frequency signal and a ramping signal, and attenuates and outputs the received wireless frequency signal based on the small signal of the inputted ramping signal. The gate receives the attenuated wireless frequency signal outputted from the attenuator.
