A method for measuring scrap content of polypropylene composite is provided to conveniently, rapidly and accurately analyze the scrap content by using a secondary functional formula showing the relation between the elastic viscosity ratio of a formed article and the scrap content, thereby predicting quality lowering of the formed article due to over-excessive use of the scrap. The method for measuring scrap contents of polypropylene composite containing 20 wt.% of talc comprises the steps of: (a) preparing a virgin formed article sample of the composite; (b) preparing a virgin formed article sample of the composite; (c) preparing a scrap-containing formed article sample of the composite; (d) performing a dynamic frequency sweep test of advanced rheometric expansion system(ARES) on each of the sample so as to measure the ratio of the elastic viscosity of the scrap-containing formed article sample to the elastic viscosity of the virgin formed article sample; and (e) substituting the elastic viscosity ratio for X in a secondary functional formula to calculate the amount of scrap content Y, where the secondary functional formula is represented as Y = a + bX + cX^2(wherein a is constant, b is a coefficient of X and c is a coefficient of X^2).
