A cutting insert for inducing an optimum chip curl is provided to extend a lifespan of a tool according to a decrement of a resistance by being able to cut a chip in a longitudinal direction. In a cutting insert for inducing an optimum chip curl, a corner cut edges are provided to four edges of an upper surface and a lower surface(104). A primary cut edge(106) and a secondary cut edge(108) are connected to each corner cut edge. A chip breaker(140) is formed on the upper surface and the lower surface. A curved type of the primary cut edge(120) is provided with curvedly being lower than a height of the corner cut edge. A depression type of the secondary cut edge is provided with being lower than a height of the corner cut edge. And, a first floor part has a convex curvature into a center part of the primary cut edge.
