Method of detection for spotted fever group rickettsiae using nested PCR assay

A method for detecting spotted fever group richettsia is provided to be able to rapidly and accurately detect the spotted fever group richettsia through nested PCR, thereby being usefully used for establishing a decisive diagnosing method of spotted fever group richettsia diseases. To selectively detect spotted fever group rickettsia such as R. sibirica, R. akari, R. conorii and R. japonica through nested PCR assay, an oligonucleotide consisting of nucleotide sequences of SEQ ID : NOs. 1 to 4 is used as a primer for romp B gene of the rickettsia.
