A divider for a workspace comprises at least partially transparent panel and at least one controllable LED-based light source integrated with the panel and adapted to generate variable light within the panel. Transparency of the panel is variable between at least partially transparent and substantially opaque in dependence on the light generated by the at least one LED-based light source. At least one control interface is coupled to the at least one LED-based light source to facilitate control of the generation of variable light within the panel.
