NETWORK STATE MANAGEMENT METHOD FOR USING BYE/200OK IN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM FOR USING SESSION INITIATION PROTOCOL

A network state management method using call release request/response messages in a communication system using an SIP(Session Initiation Protocol) is provided to enable the communication system to include transmission/reception information of packet data in call release control/response messages and then send the messages to an SIP server, thus network states between wireless LAN(Local Area Network) terminals, speech quality information, and charging information are provided to a manager. A transmission SIP communication terminal includes packet data transmission/reception information in a random field within a call release request message(BYE) transmitted during call cancellation, and sends the message(S1). When receiving the call release request message, an SIP server stores/manages the packet data transmission/reception information, and transmits a call release request message from which the packet data transmission/reception information is removed, to a receiving SIP communication terminal(S2). When receiving the call release request message(BYE), the receiving SIP communication terminal includes the packet data transmission/reception information in a random field within a call release response message, and sends the message to the SIP server(S3). When receiving the response message, the SIP server stores/manages the packet data transmission/reception information, and transmits a call release response message from which the transmission/reception information is removed, to the transmission SIP communication terminal(S4).
