A UV blocking material is provided to improve a UV cutting ability and have a heat line cutting function by shifting a UV cutting wavelength to a longer wavelength side than ZnO. The UV blocking material comprises zinc composite oxide fine particles represented by the formula of (ZnO)_(k)In_(2)O_(3)(wherein, k is an odd number) having a trigonal crystal structure. Some In in the zinc composite oxide fine particles is substituted with any one selected from La, Ga, or Al. The zinc composite oxide fine particles are surface-treated with at least one oxide of metal selected from Si, Al, or Zr.
