A method for preparing a carnation transformant is provided to show high transformation efficiency and regeneration efficiency, and have excellent reproducibility of the carnation transformant production. The method for preparing a carnation transformant comprises the steps of: (a) infecting a carnation shoot apex, which is a pure growing point portion where all leaves are removed, with Agrobacterium tumefaciens which is able to be inserted into a genome DNA of a cucumber cell and includes a vector having a sequence of a replica origin operated in a carnation cell, a promoter operated in the carnation cell, and a structural gene sequence linked with the promoter to encode an expression controlled foreign protein; (b) regenerating the infected carnation shoot apex in a culture medium containing 6-benzylaminopurine so as to form a multiple shoot; and (c) rooting the regenerated multiple shoot in a rooting culture medium without containing hormone so as to form a transformed carnation.
