DEBLOCKING FILTERING METHOD CONSIDERING INTRA BL MODE, AND VIDEO ENCODER/DECODER BASED ON MULTI-LAYER USING THE METHOD

A deblocking filtering method considering an intra BL mode and a multilayered video encoder/decoder using the method are provided to apply proper deblocking filter strength according to whether a certain block, to which a deblocking filter will be applied, uses the intra BL mode in the multilayered video encoder/decoder, thereby improving image quality of a restored video. In a method for deciding deblocking filter strength when performing a deblocking filtering process with respect to a boundary between a current block coded by an intra- BL(Bit Line) mode and a neighboring block, the method comprises the following steps of: determining whether the current block or the neighboring block has coefficients(S35); if so, setting the filter strength as the first filter strength(S40); and if not, setting the filter strength as the second filter strength(S50).
