Processing method for calculation water level with image of level dictator

A method for calculating a water level by processing an image is provided to correctly read an image captured from a camera without error when the image for the water level is processed in a water level measurer. The captured image is binarized. The binarized image is read as a number image and a non-number image. A feature of the number image is extracted and recognized(S4). The edge of the binarized image is processed. A water level line, which is the longest horizontal line at the edge processing stage, is extracted(S5). The water level is calculated by using the water level line and a recognized number(S6).
