Method and System for Preventing Handset Replication in 1x EV-DO Packet Network

A method and a system for preventing handset replication in a 1x EV-DO(Evolution Data Only) packet network are provided to block use of a terminal duplicating an ESN(Electrical Serial Number) in the EV-DO network by allowing only a hybrid terminal receiving circuit and CAVE(Cellular Authentication and Voice Encryption) authentications to be used. In a system for preventing handset replication in a 1x EV-DO packet network, a CEDB(Combined EV-DO Data Base)(140) receives and stores authentication information in a circuit network from a COIS(Customer Oriented Information System) and notifies an AN_AAA(Access Network-Authorization Authentication Accounting)(136) of the authentication information. The CEDB(140) stores subscriber information of an EV-DO service. An AC(Authentication Center)(138) communicates with the AN-AAA(136). The AC(138) sends a CAVE authentication success message for a subscriber requested by the AN_AAA(136) to the AN_AAA(136).
